GENERAL FIRE PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES

	keep the smoke doors in close position at all times;
	keep all corridors, staircases and smoke lobbies free from obstruction at all times;
	dispose lighted smoking materials in suitable receptacles only. NEVER throw them into waste baskets unless they are completely extinguished;
	do not overload electrical circuits;
	keep the fire service installations of your building in efficient working order. You are required by law to make sure that they are maintained by a registered fire service installation contractor at least once every 12 months.
